This year I have decided to do blogmas, so everyday in December leading up to christmas day I am going to be posting a blog post!
This is going to be a good challenge for me because i'm not very good at keep things up on my blog and I really want to keep up this one because next year I want to make effort with the blog.
So i'm kicking it off with a super festive DIY post, on how to make dried oranges.
What you will need to make dried Oranges?
grease proof paper
Heat oven on the lowest temperature around 110c.
Thinly slice the oranges to round half a centimetre thick.
Lay Oranges onto one half of the the kitchen roll and then cover with the other half and lightly press down to remove as much moisture as possible but don't press to hard.
Lay oranges onto the baking sheet and place in the oven, turn oranges every half an hour.
After 2-3 hours the Oranges should be dry and just a little sticky to touch. If they are still wet return to the oven and check more regularly.
Remove from the oven and cool.
Store in a jar with cinnamon and cloves if you wish, until needed.
Happy December 1st.
The true count down begins now!
And i'll see you again tomorrow x

i'm no expert or professional but oh my being vegan has completely changed my life! No joke..
so here is some of my story so far with being vegan..
I decided to go vegan in February but to be truthfully honest I had eaten vegan for 3 days without even noticing it. I've had a quite restricted diet since 2014 after being diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, I never wanted to take the pill and I didn't want to pump my body with artificial hormones which my body hasn't created.
So I did my research and found what food was best for me and what was best to avoid, it really helped and improved my symptoms.
But I don't want to tell you my whole PCOS story i'll save that for another day. Haha!
I first truly learnt about vegans when my best friend at college became a vegan and I saw her life change just over a few months from becoming vegan.
She was always telling me to try it and see how I got on because she thought it would help me loads. (man was she right! She's a keeper!)
so after I unintentionally went vegan for 3 days I just knew I could do it but didn't set myself a goal and just took each day as it came. That was the best decision I ever made.
After a month I decided to get more experimental in the kitchen and also do some large bakes so I could freeze some for those lazy days.
I love to make vegan stews- I have no recipe and have just perfected it over the past 7 months but I still usually just throw it all in together in a wok and see what happens.
what I've noticed has changed about myself over the past 7ish months?
The list is truly endless!
As I mentioned earlier I have PCOS and turning vegan has totally improved my symptoms and my PCOS in general, I've been having more regular periods which is amazing for me as I used to only get them around every 4-6 months, which wasn't ideal.
A few months ago I had to have an up to date ultra scan done to see if my condition had improved or change in any way and to mine and my doctors amazement, I know longer have cyst on both my ovaries- my Left one is completely free from cyst but my Right one is still covered in them but if it takes me just over 7 months to improve one, i'll be happy with even a small improvement on the right one. Anything is better than no change or worse.
Most of my symptoms have most definitely improved my moods have improved I feel a lot more balanced in myself (if that makes sense).
I used to have high blood pressure but I most definitely don't have that now either.
My acne! Wow this truly amazed me how your diet can truly affect your skin.
When I came back from Australia last year my skin was the worst it has ever been I had really deep scars across both my cheeks and on my forehead and I had sore large red spots across my cheeks and I just didn't know what to do, no make up would cover but putting make up on would just make it worse. ( I was fighting a battle with no chance of winning!)
So I went to the Doctors and she game me some acne cream but told me it would make it worse before it gets better and would take around 6 months to work and I don't want to have to wait that long so I didn't use. I seem to have a theme there....
I've noticed over the past 7+months that my skin has been slowly but surely improving and today I have one spot on both my cheeks and a few hormonal ones on my chin but my scars have almost completely faded which has truly amazed me.
I just can't get my head around how amazing being vegan has saved my skin. I truly can say I'm starting to love my skin.
I don't want to be that person that fires all these facts at you but I wanted to explain how my life has dramatically changed since turning vegan and maybe inspire some of you to give it a go.
I truly advise you to look into going vegan if you suffer with bad acne or bad skin in general and or have polycystic ovaries or anyone just try it. Maybe give it a go for a few months or 60 days and see how you feel and if you like it you can carry it on forever.
Once you see one improvement in yourself you won't want to stop because the improvements in your body and health will just keep rolling in.
Top tips that helped me:
*Buy some great cook books for inspirational meals.
*Try to have a varied meals throughout the week so you don't get bored.
*Vegan snacks are amazing buy loads, so you don't get bored of the same flavour.
*follow vegan accounts on all forms of social media so you get inspired throughout your day.
*Try and find someone you know who is vegan so you can ask them for advise or get inspiration from them.
*or join a vegan group!
Now Just go for it, i'm cheering you on!
This is just a brief dip into my life of being vegan, i'm just slowly warming you all up for a big bang post on being vegan.
Love Drew x
I know you’re probably all thinking who are you?..... well Hi i’m Drew Isabella and yes this is my blog!
I know i’ve been away for a while but i’m back and i’m ready for what life throws at me, I decided to put this blog on hold for a few months as I really wanted to focus on getting my college course finished and out of the way and thats what I've done, college is finished I still have my job at Matalan and my next focus is this blog!
But I'm back now and I'm so ready to start this blog back up and I've always been a bit nervous about putting my life into my blog but I feel a lot different in myself now and I know there is going to be hick ups along the way but if I fail theres always another time and I can fail again better next time until I've worked it out to what i’m most proud of but you've got to start somewhere….!
So here goes……
Little update on what I've been up to while I've been away…!
If you follow me on Instagram you'll most probably know what I've been up to but i’ll give you a little story time for those of you who don’t.
So I took my mum up to London for a few days for her birthday/christmas present to see Bruno mars and then I surprised her with a visit to go and see her best friend in London and go out for some yummy food and a little shopping (or on my half a lot of shopping)!
Then was the Isle of Wight Festival which is most definitely one of my favourite times of the year, its a time to dance in a field with your favourite people while eating great food and listening to your favouitre bands or artist. This most definitely is what happened this year at the festival and best of all I got to take my cousin to her first ever festival which was amazing.
So I’ve saved the best till last of course my birthday which was last Tuesday and was such an amazing day, as I share it with one of my all time favourite people my Auntie Trudie.
I arranged for all of us to go to the Garlic farm for breakfast, which to be truthfully honest with you was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
It was a day full of eating yummy food and laughing with my favourite people.
so much more to look forward to this year and I cant wait to share it with you!
lots of love to you all x
God bless x

I bet you just sung the title of this blog post pretending to be in the sound of music because I sure do every time I read it....
The most precious thing for me at the moment is time/space. Time for myself and space for myself.
I am one of those people who is perfectly happy with there own company, I don't personally need loads of friends and to be with them 24/7 to know that they are there for me. I just have a few super close friends that I know with a text or just a little sign they are there for me but we all know loads of people and they're automatically classed as a friend, well according to Facebook any way.
So today I thought I would share with you one of my most used me time favourites, so here are a few of most favourite books. I'm saying a few because you know we don't have all day, even though I wish cause I think finding cute and interesting reads are my favourite thing lately.
Bloom- Navigating life and style
Bloom is my most recent addition to my book shelf. Also a very pretty addition to my book shelf. I've been following Estee lalonde on youtube for a few years now and I am completely in love with her video styles, her way of taking on life and the way she is navigating life. The first chapter of bloom has been a huge eye opener to me as I never realised that Estee suffered from mental health issues and I feel that it is great that she has opened up about it in her book. I feel that this was a book I really need to read right now in this point of time in my life.
I am absolutely adoring this book so far and i'm sure it will continue as I get deeper into it. Estee is such an inspiring women to every women out there and I'm loving reading about her day to day life, the honesty and the struggles she has faced along the way. The style of this book was just like one of her videos and I love itttt.
Basically if you don't have a copy yet you need one!
Another one of my favourites for sure is wildflower by Drew Barrymore. She is not only one of my all time favourite actresses but also one of my fave writers. This book for me was really eye opening as I didn't really know that much about her up bringing and how different her life really was when she was younger.
I loved her style of writing in this book with every chapter being something different and from jumping from one life story to another, I felt like it really kept my attention through the whole book. I guess it is more of a book of a collection of short stories that skipped around Drews life. You can totally see that this book was written by Drew and you can really see her style in the organisation of the book from her free spirit.
Julie and Julia-Julie Powell
So a few months ago my Nan got given a suitcase full of books that she was left after someone she knew had passed away. She kept all the books that she wanted and brought them around for me to have a look and see if there was any that I wanted to read and I choose this book. Oh boy am I glad that I choose this book. It just makes me either want to cook all the recipes in my favourite cook book or write my own cook book. It has also shown me that I need to create goals with a dead line whether it is short term or long term or big or small goals.
My mum also bought the film for me, as a 'valentines day' present and I watched it this morning and Loved it. I definitely recommend this book to you but if you're not really a reader you should definitely watch the film or do both.
How to be Parisian- Wherever you are
If you know me well, you'll know that I have this huge love for France, especially Paris!
One of my best friends bought me this book for my birthday and I Love it! Its a real eye opening book showing the different way Parisians live there lives, Its a fun and spiritual take on what it really means to be a Parisian in the 21st century.
This book is written by four modern day Parisienne's who take you through first dates, parties and much more.
This is a very funny read and I instantly felt chicer and witter. By the end I was laughing out loud.
It- Alexa Chung
I have always been a huge fan of Alexa chung I love her style and chicness (is that even a word).
This is quite a picture filled book which I also love. Picture books are always at the top of my list hehe.
This is a great insight into Alexa's life, she shares her personal inspiration, music and sense of style. It is also quite a short book and you can read it pretty quick, which I feel is great if you're on a train or a short haul flight.
But I generally really enjoyed reading this short little insight into Alexas life!
I would love for you to share with me what your favourite books are at the moment.
let me know in the comments.
Have a great week!
I love lush. Well who doesn't love lush... Not only is lush super natural and sooo affordable but everything just smells and looks incredible!
This week I wanted to share with you some of my all time favourite christmas lush products that I collected around christmas and have wanted to share with you.
This is a bit of a random lush haul but sometimes random is the best hehehe....
Snow fairy-Cleansing candy floss clouds.
This is one of the christmas lush products (so unfortunately you won't be able to get your hands on this product but you can get it on your list ready for this christmas.)
The classic Snow fairy is quite a sweet smelling shower gel, so might not appeal to everyone but I love it.
This left my skin feeling so soft after my bath and it had a slight shimmer too it which I loved.
Sleepy Body lotion- Dip into a dream painted in brushstrokes of gentle oatmeal infusion and lavender flower.
Lavender is one of my all time favourite scents, so I knew that this was going to be amazing and I wasn't wrong. It is also one of the most beautiful colours.
Rose Jam-An orchestra of roses creates scent symphonies in your shower.
This is quite a fresh rose smell, kind of reminds of turkish delight a little bit. This leaves a lovely fresh scent on the skin. So if you're a lover of roses I highly recommend this one to you.
Reindeer Rock soap- Rose, neroli and jasmine.
This soap is of course also from the christmas selection but it was just way to cute not to sure with you. I usually don't use soap but this one was to cute not to buy and try.
Baked Alaska Soap- Tangy grapefruit and refreshing lemon myrtle dance toe-to-toe with stress relieving ylang ylang.
This soap is beautiful and smells incredible I love the scents of grapefruit and lemon put them together with ylang ylang and my skin is having a party.
Star dust bath bomb- Follow yonder star into a luxurious bath filled with soothing vanilla and fragrant rosewood.
This was so lovely in my bath, made my bath kind of go milky, which made my skin feel so hydrated and nourished and smelled amazing.
Shoot for the stars - Honey-scented sparkles of Brazilian orange and bergamot waltz in a swirling, cobalt sky.
This was incredible in the bath, colours where amazing (but if my dad had seen the colour I turned the bath I think he would of had a heart attack haha) and I just loved how the stars came out of the bath bomb separately. This also really moisturised my skin which is great for the this time of the year.
Lord of Misrule- This bath bomb I feel has a very mystical feel and scent to it- if you can explain a bath bomb in that way. But this was another one which gave my bath the most amazing colours and scents.
I couldn't recommend these three bath bombs more highly.
